Why a Millennium?

1. It is the fulfilment of the Lord’s Prayer and ours – “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

2. The Scriptures show a golden age of 1,000 years of peace, long life and good health that only God’s reign and rule can bring about.

3. Since 3600BC we have known less than 300 years of peace. In some 55 centuries we have had over 14,500 wars – large and small where more than 3.5 billion people have died.

4. Hundreds of millions have died from disease, hunger and thirst. From abortion, murder and from animals, reptiles, insects and sea creatures.

5. Left to himself man will always fail, and without God’s grace and mercy we will always fall. All systems and time frames
have failed and God’s Word shows this:

a. The Age of Innocence ended with wilful disobedience – Adam and Eve. Genesis 3:1-24.

b. The Age of Conscience ended with earthly corruption and evil – The Flood. Genesis 6:11.

c. The Age of Human Government ended with self worship – Tower of Babel. Genesis 11:1-9.

d. The Age of Promise ended with God’s people out of the Promised Land and into Egypt –  Time of Slavery.Exodus 1:1-16.

e. The Age of the Law ended with Jews and Gentiles, the creatures killing the Creator –
Death of Messiah. Matthew 27:1-54.

f. The Age of the Church (Grace) will end with a worldwide apostasy – 1 Timothy 4:1.

g. The Age of the Tribulation will end with death at – Armageddon. Revelation 19:11-21.

h. The Age of the Millennium will end with
Satanic rebellion – Lake of Fire. Rev 20:7-15.
