The Church and Israel

Our Relationship:

Ephesians 2:11-14 – Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands – that at that time you were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Messiah Y’shua you who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation

Our Responsibility:

Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Messiah, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also to the Greek (Gentile).

Romans 10:14 – How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 11:11 – I say then have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

Our Reconciliation:

Romans 11:25 – For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Romans 11:12 – Now if their fall is for riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!

Romans 11:26-27 – And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.
Isaiah 59:20-21 & 27:9.

Their Resurrection (Spiritual):

Romans 11:15 – For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead.

Isaiah 28:18 – Your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand. Why?

Because Y’shua (Jesus) said in:-
John 8:24 – "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins, for if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins."

The time will come when the Jewish nation will no longer as a whole reject their Messiah having listened to their leaders leading them astray in 30ad. Over the centuries and especially in the 1st many have believed in Him as the Book of Acts (an account of the early Messianic Community or Church) shows – see Acts 6:7 and Acts 21:20. Further to this the apostle John records that ‘many believed in His name when they saw the signs He did’ John 2:23.

Ezekiel 36:16 – 38 are absolutely pivotal in the Plans and Purposes of God for Israel.

Their Revival:

Hosea 6:1 – Come let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us, He has stricken us, but He will bind us up. After two days, He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.
(For 2 days – for nearly 2,000 years they have been without their Messiah King and Lord but on the 3rd day – the start of the Messiah’s 1,000 year earthly rule they (all Israel) shall know Him at last).

Their Renewal:

Zephaniah 3:14 – Sing, 0 daughter of Zion! Shout, 0 Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, 0 daughter of Jerusalem!

Zephaniah 3:17 – The Lord your God in your midst. The Mighty One will save. He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Amos 3:16b – But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Their Restoration:

Micah 4:6 – "In that day," says the Lord, "I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast and those whom I have afflicted; I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation; so the Lord will reign over them in Zion from now on, even forever."

Zephaniah 3:20 – "At that time I will bring you back, even at that time I gather you; for I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I return your captives before your eyes, " says the Lord.
(Please note – these two verses are prophetic and are in the future grammatical tense).
