Heaven is Open – The Price is Paid

This life is only preparation for the one that is to come
Which promises to be glorious if you know God’s only Son
All the beauties of heaven are reserved for those who love
Jesus, the Anointed One, who left His home above
To clear our debt of sin, a price that only he could pay
Which He did on ‘Good Friday’, a dark & solemn day
When nailed to a cross outside Jerusalem’s wall
He bore the wrath of God, for the sins of us all
His precious holy blood flowed down upon the sin-cursed earth
& still stands today to reconcile through spiritual re-birth
