Glancing back

Godliness with contentment is great gain indeed,
Yet it started off with faith, as a mustard seed!
This I was given, but Christ said all we’d need,
For His heavenly plans in our lives to succeed!
I’m fulfilled & contented with life every day,
But believe me, it wasn’t always this way!
Far from it, as many friends would agree,
They prayed hard for years, to see me set free!
Praise God I’ve now come to a wonderful place,
Where I’m resting, not striving to merit His grace!
Surrender’s the answer, in fact the only way
To experience God’s peace & joy day by day!
