Four Trees that represent Israel’s History and Future

‘the choicest vine’ (Emblem of Fruitfulness) Isaiah 5:2.

"And He fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine…"

This verse teaches us that G-d chose Israel and refers to her as the choicest vine above others. Sadly though as we read on in this verse it brought forth wild grapes which shows there was disobedience and the Scriptures attest to this happening at times in her history. However, the Lord has not forsaken His people and they are being regathered and regenerated to Him before the eyes of a watching world. The best is yet to come for little Israel.

‘fatness of the olive tree’ (Emblem of Testimony) Romans 11:17.

"….and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree."

We are now being shown that we have been grafted in as Gentile believers to the root of the Olive Tree which is our Messiah – Yeshua Sar Shalom. But a tree has a root system and so we see the patriarchs Avraham, Yitzak and Ya’aqov. It is through our father Abraham and the promise through his seed to Israel and the Gentile nations, unto those who believe by faith. Individually we must be one of those who partakes of the root and fatness of the olive tree as it is written. Every tree has a chief tap root – this is Moshiach/Messiah or Christ as the same term used by the gentile believers for Messiah. We all then must partake of Him to see eternity.

‘first ripe in the fig tree’ (Emblem of Sweetness) Hosea 9:10.

"I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the Fig Tree……."

Again as we read on in this verse we see the disobedience of Israel in the past and so although she has been scattered Israel’s national privileges will be restored when Melech Yeshua returns to set up His Kingdom.

‘like a green fir tree’ (Emblem of Freshness) Hosea 14:8.

‘Ephraim shall say’, "What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard Him, and observed Him; I am like a green fir tree. From me is Thy fruit found."

At last the dispersed tribes will hear the voice of Her beloved (I have heard Him), all Israel shall see Him (and observe Him) on His return and they shall glorify His name (from me is Thy fruit found) in all the world. The redeemed shall return and all the prophecies of peace and rest shall come upon the Jewish nation as a whole because of the Lord’s covenant love towards His people.

During the 1,000 (millennial) reign of Messiah, He and His people will be a blessing unto all Nations.

These things are written within the Tanakh and the Brit HaDasha and they shall come to pass through His pre-determined will.
